Turiya shares the turning point in her life when she lost her then 33-year-old husband

Welf von Hannover in 1981. Her relationship with death, the impermanence of physical life significantly changed another time with the loss of her beloved partner Maja 6 months ago, where she experienced something, she never had before:  ‘Then one night the message came, and it was: Love Is All. And there was such a strong feeling. Love is the bond that brings us over the bridge and that brings two things into oneness, that overcomes the separation. In this case, the separation is a loss of the physical body. But the heart and the love are there. Love Is All.’ 

SAND co-founder Zaya Benazzo interviews Turiya as she shares the unfoldment of her own path and the different turns that brought her to where she is today. Turiya covers the role of embodiment and the place of shadow exploration in spiritual work, and much more. The process of inner transformation is both spiritual and psychological.

The spiritual work is about awakening to higher states of consciousness; the psychological work involves cleaning the psyche of all conditionings, psychological blocks, complex contradiction and traumas. In owning our shadows, projections and inner conflicts, we create a foundation for our spiritual life.

Turiya uses the Sufi term to describe this connection as "The Place With No Name."  She discusses this connection to be that intimate place where we really connect with the divine.  She explains that we need to develop this connection, whilst at the same time learning to love and relate to others without shutting down.

Turiya discusses that growing up we learned to criticise ourselves rather than love ourselves.  She also explains how the heart is made up of many layers, and that you know when you're in the heart, because the whole world looks completely different, whereas when we are not in the heart, the same world can look grey, dull, and boring.
